Trumark Homes Announces First Communities for New Central California Division

Clovis, Calif., (December 14, 2023) – Trumark Homes, the award-winning Western U.S. homebuilder, announced today that it has introduced its name and branding for two new home communities as part of its expansion into Central California, following the recent acquisition of Wathen Castanos Homes. Sea Haven in Marina and Avila Ranch in San Luis Obispo are the first of several planned communities across the new Central California division that will establish Trumark Homes’ brand in this market.

“It is exciting to officially usher in the Trumark Homes name at Sea Haven and Avila Ranch, establishing the company and its stellar reputation in Central California,” said Josh Peterson, who served as president and partial owner of Wathen Castanos Homes and has assumed the role of Central California Division President at Trumark Homes. “With the strength and support of Trumark Homes behind our team, we will continue to build high quality homes and offer an unparalleled homebuyer experience in these highly desirable new home communities.”

The coastal community of Sea Haven in Marina sprawls over 248 acres along the iconic Monterey Bay. Two neighborhoods, Layia and Villosa, are currently selling and feature an eclectic mix of one- and two-story single-family homes ranging from 1,849 to 3,411 square feet, three to seven bedrooms, and two to four bathrooms. When fully built out, the community will include 965 single-family and townhome lots and the exclusive Cove Clubhouse for residents, all surrounded by ten community parks and natural open spaces that showcase the natural beauty unique to its location. Homes currently for sale start from $1.1 million.*

Avila Ranch in San Luis Obispo, a highly amenitized 149-acre master planned community, is also currently selling its first phase of homes in two neighborhoods, Estero and Islay. Nestled on the west side of the community with views of the foothills and nearby vineyards, homes include architectural styles such as Spanish, Bungalow, Craftsman, Farmhouse, and Contemporary and range from 819 to 2,273 square feet, two to four bedrooms, and one to two-and-a-half bathrooms, plus one to two car garages. Ultimately planned for 720 homes when built out, the community will feature nine parks and eight miles of trails and paseos. Homes for sale start in the mid $800,000s.*

With its new Central California division, Trumark Homes’ footprint now spans contiguously from Northern to Southern California, in addition to its Colorado division which launched in 2021. The company will continue to target strategic growth opportunities in the Western United States with the support of parent company Daiwa House to serve homebuyers from the Rockies to the Pacific Ocean.
