-Sonora Hills and Amanda Lane mark company’s third and fourth new home communities in San Diego County, joining Edencrest and Melrose Heights
-Trumark Homes’ Southern California division bullish on market and expansion opportunities
Newport Beach, Calif., (September 28, 2023) – Trumark Homes, the award-winning home builder with divisions in California and Colorado, announced today that it is developing Sonora Hills and Amanda Lane, two additional new home communities in Escondido, CA.
This expansion of Trumark Homes’ footprint in San Diego County follows the company’s highly successful Edencrest community in Escondido, which debuted in May 2020 and sold out in 17 months, and Melrose Heights in Oceanside, which launched in April 2022 and is nearing its final phases for release to sale.
“We have seen high demand for Trumark Homes communities in the San Diego market and this is a prime opportunity to further invest in Escondido with the addition of Sonora Hills and Amanda Lane,” said Richard Douglass, Southern California Division President at Trumark Homes. “We are excited to provide homebuyers with the opportunity to enjoy our thoughtfully designed and expertly crafted homes – especially as conventional single-family homes and lots become more and more rare in this market -- where they can plant their roots and experience a unique style of Southern California living.”
Sonora Hills will include 55 one- and two-story homes on expansive lot sizes starting at 10,000 square feet. Floor plans will range from 3,100 to 4,043 square feet, with four to five bedrooms, lofts, multi-generational suites and three-car garages. The community is expected to begin selling in late 2024 with prices anticipated to start in the high-$1.2 millions.
The company recently closed escrow on Amanda Lane in southeast Escondido, which will feature 21 single-family homes on spacious lots ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 square feet. The community is expected to begin selling in spring 2025 and prices are planned to start in the mid-$1 millions.
The city of Escondido is a picturesque suburb nestled in the hills of northern San Diego County and known for its historic downtown district, abundant outdoor activities, award-winning schools and community events. Located 30 miles northeast of downtown San Diego and 20 minutes from the coast, popular destinations include Lake Hodges, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, California Center for the Arts, San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum and Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens.
“With the strong demand we are experiencing from new homebuyers, our team continues to explore San Diego County and across Southern California to identify strategic opportunities where we can increase inventory and meet those demands,” Douglass added. “We look forward to building on this momentum and announcing additional new home communities in the coming months.”
