Trumark Companies Donates $100,000 to Support Healthcare Workers Impacted by Los Angeles Wildfires

San Ramon, Calif. (February 3, 2025) — Trumark Companies, LLC, a member of the Daiwa House Group, announced today that it is donating $100,000 to aid healthcare workers affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.

The funds will be given to City of Hope’s Emergency Aid Fund, which was established to provide urgent financial assistance to its team members facing hardships, including evacuation and property loss related to the Southern California wildfires. Hundreds of staff have been displaced, and dozens have lost their homes entirely.

"Our hearts go out to all those affected by the devastating fires in Los Angeles,” said Michael Maples, Principal and Co-Founder of Trumark Companies. “At Trumark, we see the critical role healthcare workers play in our community and want to help keep this group engaged in patient care as they rebuild their lives."

Trumark’s donation will provide urgent financial assistance to City of Hope’s impacted healthcare workers and their families, as well as temporary housing and essential supplies like food and clothing.

"City of Hope(R) has long been a beacon of compassion and resilience, making a meaningful impact on countless lives through their cutting-edge cancer research and treatments,” said Gregg Nelson, co-founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Trumark Companies. “By partnering with them, we can ensure our contribution directly assists those who need it most during this recovery process."

Joe Watterson, vice president of corporate philanthropy at City of Hope underscored the immediate impact Trumark’s generous gift will have on employees directly affected by L.A.’s wildfires.

“On behalf of the City of Hope community and employees directly impacted by the grief, loss and devastation brought on by L.A.’s wildfires, I want to thank our partners and friends at Trumark for this inspiring gift,” said Watterson. “Trumark’s philanthropic support is a beautiful example of a community coming together to take care of one another to provide immediate relief and hope to the people who play such a crucial role in fulfilling City of Hope’s lifesaving mission. I am deeply moved and incredibly grateful for Trumark’s commitment to our community.”
