The Trumark Team’s Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes

One of the best parts of Thanksgiving (besides spending time with our loved ones, of course) is the amazing selection of food that you and your guests get to gobble up! With that in mind, what better way to celebrate the upcoming holiday than by sharing the favorite Thanksgiving dishes of the Trumark Homes team? We asked our team members to share their most beloved dishes that are not typically found among the array of turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing recipes.

Green Bean Casserole

This scrumptious recipe is worthy of a gold medal for its addictively savory taste. To get started, you will need the following ingredients:

• A 32oz bag of frozen cut green beans
• Sliced almonds
• Block of Swiss cheese
• One large can of water chestnuts
• Two cans of chicken mushroom soup
• Two cans of french onions (leave enough to crumble on top after it’s done cooking)
• Heavy cream, whole milk, or half & half (add until there’s a nice consistency for mixing)

After you have gathered everything, mix the ingredients together in a casserole pan. Then, bake at 350℉ for 40 minutes. Finally, take the casserole out of the oven and crumble the leftover onions on top. Voila! You have a fantastic green bean casserole that everyone will love.

Pumpkin Banana Mousse Tart

This outstanding recipe by Ina Garten from Food Network Magazine puts a delicious twist on your usual pumpkin pie. By mixing in ripe bananas, orange zest, and some gelatin (or gelatin substitute), you end up with a dish that satisfies any cravings for a pumpkin pie, but has a more complex flavor and the velvety texture of a mouse. You can find the full recipe on the Food Network website.

Raspberry Layered Jello Salad

Hearing “Jello” and “salad” in the same sentence may have you raising your eyebrows, but this recipe from Norine’s Nest will probably end up with everyone at your Thanksgiving dinner asking for seconds. The tartness of the raspberries mixed with sweet pineapples and bananas, along with the mix of textures created by layers of gelatin and sour cream, make this an unforgettable dessert. It may also be more appealing than having a heavy helping of rich chocolate or pie right after dinner.

If you decide to try out these recipes, we hope you end up loving them as much as we do. We know our team members will be filling up their plates with these delectable dishes during their own Thanksgiving dinners.
