Trumark Homes Sells Out Pelican Shores Community in Windsor, CO
Some communities come together in a way that feels intentional from beginning to end. Pelican Shores at Water Valley in Windsor is one of them.
Now officially sold out, this collection of 59 detached luxury patio homes offered a unique take on low-maintenance living, where thoughtful design met an active, outdoor lifestyle. From its early vision to its final closing on March 27, 2026, Pelican Shores evolved alongside the needs of its homebuyers, resulting in a community that feels both personal and complete.
When Trumark Homes acquired the remaining homesites in October 2021, the goal was clear. Bring a lock-and-leave lifestyle to Windsor, paired with the elevated design and livability the brand is known for. What followed was a carefully curated neighborhood set within the highly desirable Water Valley master-planned community.
The community naturally extended beyond the front door. Residents enjoy access to Pelican Lakes Golf Course, scenic trails, fitness amenities, and a new clubhouse, along with nearby destinations like Highland Meadows Golf Course, Horsetooth Reservoir, and The Promenade Shops at Centerra. Living near Pelican Lake means having the perfect balance of relaxation and outdoor recreation right at your fingertips.
At home, Pelican Shores delivered comfort and flexibility through a mix of ranch-style and two-story floorplans, each designed with a primary suite on the main level. The homes ranged from well-appointed interior lots to a limited number of sought-after lakefront homesites, that made everyday living feel effortless.
As the community took shape, it also adapted. “We saw an opportunity to serve the market as we were getting a lot of home shoppers needing fencing for their dogs,” said Chad Rodriguez, Vice President of Land Acquisition. “Originally, the homes did not offer fenced-in yard areas; however, as we moved to the interior homesites, we were able to add a lot of fencing to meet the needs of an underserved buying audience.”
That responsiveness became part of what defined Pelican Shores. It was not just about building homes, but about listening, adjusting, and delivering a better experience along the way.
For the team behind the scenes, the journey was just as meaningful as the finished result.
“Seeing it all come together and putting the last piece of landscaping in the ground, it’s just pretty awesome to see,” said Russell Winterling, Construction Manager.
And in a fitting close to the community’s story, the final homebuyer was someone who had been part of that journey for quite some time.
“Fittingly, the final home was purchased by a couple who had been visiting the community for nearly two years, stopping in regularly after playing golf at Pelican Lakes Golf Course, and as fate would have it, they became the final homeowners at Pelican Shores,” said Jay Galvin, Community Sales Manager.
That sense of connection, both to place and to people, is what ultimately defined Pelican Shores. It is a community shaped not only by its design and location, but by the experiences of those who built it and those who chose to call it home.
With its final chapter now complete, Pelican Shores stands as a reflection of thoughtful planning, adaptability, and a shared vision brought to life. It also marks a meaningful accomplishment for Trumark Homes’ Colorado team, whose dedication and attention to detail helped shape the community from start to finish.
