Trumark Homes Announces New Mixed-Use Community in Morgan Hill, CA

Award-winning California homebuilder Trumark Homes today announced the acquisition of 5.66 acres of land in Morgan Hill, CA to develop a 101-unit townhome community with an on-campus mixed-use building offering three commercial units. Starting from the mid $800,000s, Trumark’s Jasper community, formally known as Monterey Gateway will offer five different three-story townhome plans ranging from 1,403 to 2,270 square feet, three to four bedrooms and two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half bathrooms. Designed in the modern farmhouse architectural style, all Jasper townhomes will offer two-car garages and decks off living spaces on most plans. The mixed-use building will include 2,147 square feet of ground-floor commercial retail space for three separate units ranging from 614 to 1,095 square feet.

With the South San Jose market currently experiencing a significant lack in inventory, Trumark’s Jasper community is set to provide much-needed housing options for the rising number of homebuyers seeking vibrant and attainable housing in the Bay Area’s outer markets.

“From its on-site commercial space to its close proximity to Silicon Valley job markets, Jasper embodies the integration of home and office that so many of us are experiencing as part of our new reality,” said Tony Bosowski, Northern California Division President at Trumark Homes. “Whether you’re working full-time in the office or you’re simply looking for more spacious and affordable housing options outside of San Jose, Jasper will cater to a wide variety of homebuyers and help create new inventory to support the burgeoning demand in Morgan Hill and surrounding markets.”

Housing demand in Morgan Hill has been steadily increasing over the past year, pushing home values up 8.6% from April 2020 according to the Zillow Home Value Index. Deemed a “Silicon Valley Proximate” option for homebuyers priced out of the core tech centers, Morgan Hill offers residents working part- or full-time in the office a convenient 30-minute commute to the San Jose region as well as the benefits of a less dense, more affordable and community-oriented location. Morgan Hill is known for its numerous family-friendly parks, combined with all the charm of many dining and shopping opportunities in the historic downtown.

Situated 26 miles south of San Jose, Trumark’s new Morgan Hill community is located inside the highly rated Morgan Hill Unified School District and less than one mile from the Morgan Hill Caltrain Station for residents commuting to tech center hubs to the North. On-campus, Jasper also offers four different amenity spaces, secondary landscaped paseo spaces, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, pool building with bathrooms, shaded barbeque area, lounge chairs and community seating areas.

Jasper is one of Trumark’s nine new communities in Northern California. Leeward at Alameda Point is almost completely sold out, and Crest at Alameda Point is projected to close in the 1st quarter of 2022. Starting July 1st, residents of their Alameda Point communities will have direct, 20-minute ferry access to and from San Francisco. The homebuilder’s other communities in Northern California include: Avalon and Avalon Point at River Islands in Lathrop; The Strand at Loch Lomond Marina in San Rafael; Compass Bay in Newark; Harmony in Sunnyvale; and Origin, a premier age-qualified community in Manteca and the first WELL-certified residential community.
