Things You’ll Love About Living in Anaheim’s Platinum Triangle

Famously known for Disneyland, the bustling city of Anaheim has no shortage of entertainment and activities! From famous microbreweries to the OC symphony, here are just a few reasons why locals love living in Anaheim’s Platinum Triangle.

Community & Neighborhood

Anaheim has been lauded by locals for its welcoming, family-friendly neighborhoods and strong sense of community. With numerous high ranking schools in the area and great teacher to student ratios, Anaheim is the ideal place for new families to settle down. Presale offices for Trumark Homes’ new community in Anaheim’s central Platinum Triangle neighborhood, Lewis + Mason, are now open. These beautiful townhomes feature rooftop decks and floor plans suitable for families of all sizes.

Performing Arts

Anaheim is home to prominent performing arts groups such as Orange County Symphony and the Anaheim Ballet Company. Catch the OC Wind Symphony play Shostakovich’s festive overture and Leonard Bernstein’s Candide Suite on March 25. Get tickets to the Symphonic Sounds concert here. Come watch the Anaheim Ballet School’s Spring Concert on June 2, featuring the award-winning Youth America Grand Prix participants. You can find all Anaheim Ballet performances here.

Artisan Eateries & Microbreweries

Located in the heart of downtown, the Anaheim Packing District was an old packing house that was revamped into a new communal gathering place with refurbished historic structures and an outdoor event area with a fireplace. The Packing District has become a foodie destination, featuring twenty-eight artisan eateries such as Umami Burger, Popbar, Urbana, and Georgia’s. With a wide variety of restaurant options and live music on the Mezzanine Stage every weekend, the Packing District is one of the liveliest places in Anaheim.

Anaheim is a beer lover’s dream with world-renowned breweries located throughout the city. The city’s brewing tradition began back in 1870s when the first Anaheim Brewery opened, however, due to Prohibition, Anaheim Brewery closed its taps in 1920. Ninety years later, Barbara Gerovac and her husband revived the city’s beer scene by reopening the brewery. Anaheim soon became the newest craft beer hub of the OC. Other notable specialized microbreweries in Anaheim are Bottle Logic Brewing and Unsung Brewing Company.

Recreation Parks

Anaheim is home to more than 50 mini parks, neighborhood parks, and special-use parks spanning over 700 acres. A local favorite, Pioneer Park  is perfect for children’s birthday parties and weekend family outings. The spacious 15.8-acre park features two children’s playgrounds, a football and soccer area, picnic shelters, and a softball field. Another popular park, named after the first woman school district superintendent in California, is Twila Reid Park. The 27.2-acre park offers numerous playgrounds, picnic areas, disc golf, shuffleboard, horseshoe, and recreation center.
